Sword Art Online:LiFE
The Plot
Sword Art Online was defeated. The survivors of the game were released from their prison, free to carry on their lives. The game was dissolved, no longer to be a menace to the world.
So they thought.
Five years after the end of Sword Art Online, developers returned to the game to once again restore it's glory. While it had turned into a machine of mass-murder, the intelligence behind the game creation was the absolute forefront in the world of technology. It couldn't just be left to rot on a shelf. The news of Sword Art Online's relaunch had taken much controversy to the media, but the game production carried on.
Sword Art Online relaunched. The game was just as successful as before, perhaps even more popular than the first time. Months had passed and it seemed the game was working just fine. There were no comatose children locked in the game, no unexplained deaths linked to the game. Everything was fine. Until he appeared.
The developers of the game did not start from scratch as they had so claimed. They built out of the remains from the first game. Where he resided. The Game Master. After many sweeps through the coding and graphics and gameplay, the developers had deemed the game safe, thinking he was no where in sight. But this was his game. This was his territory. He knew exactly where to hide until he regained enough strength to take over the world once more. This time, with more players.
Three months had passed since the game launch. Three months of normalcy. Three months until all hell broke loose a second time.
The Game Master infiltrated not just Sword Art Online, but all of the worlds. They had to defeat him in every one until they were released once more.
Many survivors of the first game reluctantly re-entered. They knew there duty. They had defeated him once before, and it was their job to help the others do it again. Many found surprises waiting for them in the game.
As The Game Master had survived, so did the other supposedly 'dead' players from the first game. There is currently no explanation as to how they survived. Many of the original survivors believe it to be a trap from The Game Master. Some believe their soul was imprinted and saved into the game's data banks. Others have theories that no one ever left the game, that even their time in the 'real world' was all fake.
The only thing everyone can agree on is that they need to get out. They must band together to defeat The Game Master and be free once and for all.
